Skills
Here are some professional and technical skills I have developed during my internship at the marine protected area of Punta Campanella in Ireanto Bay!
Field Skills
Developed field skills for data collection while snorkeling as part of the biodiversity project monitoring blenning species in Ireanto. This work provided insights into population dynamics and informed local conservation efforts.
Commmunications
Educated visitors and student groups about Ireanto Bay, effectively communicating conservation goals and vital information about the marine protected area as part of daily activities.
Turtle Track Identification
Learned to identify turtle nesting tracks as part of the Campania Turtle Monitoring project, which spanned from Palinuro to Marina di Camerota. This involved detailed training in recognizing tracks and nesting sites, helping to support conservation efforts.
Flexibility
Learned to be adaptable to sudden changes, such as inclement weather, to achieve goals in both academic and internship responsibilities. This included developing quick problem-solving skills, maintaining productivity under pressure, and effectively managing time to meet objectives.
